ChooseMyPlate
is replacing the Food Pyramid!!
The new design was created to help everyone understand that all of the foods shown are important for a healthy meal. Vegetables and whole grains have larger portions (but not too large), and fruits and proteins have a smaller portion on the plate. The dairy portion is connected to the plate to show the importance of adding 8 oz. of low fat or skim milk to each meal.

Richmond High School Menu
Each month we will highlight a new meal/sandwich for the student to try. Each month we will also offer samples of foods we may purchase in the future.
Fun Ideas!!!
A Graduation Novelty
Hershey Candy Bar Squares- cut don't break into squares, for an even look.
Reece's Peanut Butter Cups- Mini's, one for each square.
Twizzlers red licorice for decoration.
Melt leftover Hershey's squares. Place a small dab in the center of each
square, and place a Peanut Butter Cup on the dab, small side to square.
When set, turn over, and put small dab of melted chocolate in center of square
and string twizzler strings (pulled apart) onto dab for tassle.
They make wonderful center pieces!
