RCS Extranet Troubleshooting
Question: When I try to log onto the RCS secure extranet from my computer at home, I am not allowed. It says that I need permission from an administrator. Can you help me?
Answer: In most cases, this is a result of a conflict of the Juniper software that is downloaded onto your computer. To resolve this error, you can try one of the two following procedures:
1. Remove the Juniper applications using the following steps:
a. In Windows, go to Add/Remove Programs. If you are on Windows 7 or Vista, the setting may be called Programs and Features. You can find it by clicking the Start button and immediately typing “Remove Program” in the search box.
b. Uninstall any applications that say “Juniper” in them.
c. Restart your computer.
d. Attempt Extranet login.
2. If procedure 1 does not work, do the following:
a. Perform steps A and B of procedure 1.
b. Also uninstall any application called “Java”, “Java Runtime”, Java Virtual Machine.
c. Restart the computer.
d. Go to http://www.java.com/en/ and download/install the newest version of the Java Runtime.
e. Attempt Extranet login.
