The Elizabeth Starr Academy
is in full swing! Our Micro Society, The Discovery Zone, is under
construction and we have completed our first three weeks of Micro Society
lessons. We have worked on the Concepts of a Society, the Purpose of
Government, and the Three Types of Government. We have created our
Constitutional Congress and the members have been meeting since last week.
These students are leaders from our classrooms who represent their
classmates.
We also have our first group of students who are using their
entrepreneurial skills. These students are creating, organizing, and
getting ready to run concessions for the Hub Football League. These
students are going to make money for our school community by selling food
and drink at the football games. We are proud of their hard work and
LOYALTY to our school. |

Don’t Forget
that every time a student is tardy to school five (5) times, that
student will have to serve a detention after school |

The America
Reads Tutors will be at Starr every Monday and Wednesday
after school for students who were given permission slips
